Job Title: VP of Engineering or CTO

Salary: $300k-$500k + Equity

Company Description: Well-funded AI infrastructure startup

Job Description:
Lead technical execution for a stealth startup building deep-tech infrastructure that integrates real-time AI into clinical environments. You will oversee a global team across four layers: custom hardware, firmware, AI orchestration, and software. This is a high-impact role for an operator-builder ready to move a transformative product from prototype to global production.

Location: Hillsborough, USA

Why this role is remarkable:
  • Rare opportunity to build a full-stack production environment spanning custom sovereign hardware and AI orchestration from the ground up.
  • Join a mission-driven team backed by significant committed capital and led by founders with deep industry experience.
  • Significant equity upside potential in a greenfield market that is currently underbuilt and ripe for massive technological disruption.

What you will do:
  • Own technical delivery across hardware, firmware, and software layers while managing day-to-day operations for US and global engineering teams.
  • Define and track engineering KPIs and architecture standards to bridge product vision with scalable production deployment.
  • Travel to international sites monthly to lead and coordinate technical progress across a 24-hour development cycle.

The ideal candidate:
  • 10-15 years of ascending experience at top-tier companies known for building both custom hardware and software stacks.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex, global engineering teams and delivering production-ready AI systems in high-ambiguity environments.
  • A builder's mindset with the ability to architect across multiple technical layers without needing domain definitions or hand-holding.
