DESCRIPTION


Amazon’s Brand Innovation Lab team is seeking a skillful, customer-obsessed Visual Designer to create brand-focused digital and visual experiences that are displayed across Amazon sites, Amazon devices and external sites.

As Visual Designer, you'll create visual campaign ideas and assets and develop UX/UI web experiences for worldwide top advertisers, applying high design craft across the full customer journey.

You are both imaginative and pragmatic, feeling comfortable delivering exceptional creatives in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders to integrate top standard craft and costumer experience into sponsorships offering. You are proactive and solution oriented with proven experience in moving projects from concept into successful execution. You identify design workflow gaps and turn them into scalable, repeatable visual solutions. You’ve proven you start with the customer and work backwards, understanding that what you do is critical to creating a successful, consistent shopping experience. You make sure the creative and craft bar is always high in every detail of the project, for both you and your team, and looking around corners to take every opportunity you get to raise the bar even higher. As a candidate, you will have a deep understanding of visual design, ideation, and UX/UI processes and software. An online portfolio and solid design experience are required.

Key job responsibilities
Design creative executions including but not limited to Amazon-owned devices brand and ad placements, maintaining high productivity, quality standards and meeting turnaround time targets.

  • Create innovative UX/UI designs for web (using the proper tools such as Figma and Webflow.)
  • Develop visual assets to promote advertisers' campaigns across Amazon's platforms and optimize them for web, mobile, big screen and other devices.
  • Own the design and visual storytelling of high impact presentations.
  • Design customer-centered campaigns across Amazon's platforms
  • Lead campaign executions in collaboration with EU/US design teams
  • Help ensure quality control, while working closely with marketing stakeholders, design peers and quality specialist.
  • Exhibit an ability to follow creative lead as expected, and also contribute to push the creative envelope in a constructive, memorable way with the customer in mind.
  • Be the expert for one or more design categories, supporting teams, solving creative challenges, and mentoring new designers.
  • Be able to apply analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Experience working with multiple partners and stakeholders and communicate efficiently to solve challenges and pushing projects and campaigns forward.

A day in the life
  • Executing best in class brand experiences using the Amazon canvas.
  • Create design and develop interactive customer across web, app, and emerging touchpoints, optimized for mobile, desktop, and large screen environments.

  • Develop high quality visual assets that bring advertiser campaigns to life across Amazon’s ecosystem.
  • Create compelling pitch decks, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Partner closely with internal and external partners to present, review, and evolve creative work.
  • Lead campaign executions end to end while collaborating with the wider EU creative team.
  • Work with Art and Creative Directors to explore and elevate design craft.

About the team
The Brand Innovation Lab team is the internal group within Amazon that creates one-of-a-kind campaigns and activations for global advertisers, like Pepsi, Microsoft, Adidas, Samsung, and Unilever. Using all of the different platforms within the Amazon canvas (Custom landing pages, Alexa, Twitch, Prime Video, etc.), we create campaigns that reach millions of Amazon customers across our digital channels and out in the real-world. The Endemic pod specifically deals with brands that sell directly on Amazon – sneakers, laptops, detergent, soda, etc. If it arrives in a bag or a box, that's a brand you could work on.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid graphic design experience, preferably at advertising agencies and/or as an in-house creative.
  • An online creative portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and visual design excellence
  • In-depth understanding of industry design tools (Ex. Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, InVision), and a basic understanding of UX design.
  • Data-driven and obsessed with measurable impact of a campaign.
  • Excellent presentation skills and interactive storytelling ability.
  • Strong organisation and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional at your craft and a critical project owner.
  • A fascination with innovation and technology.
  • Self-starter. Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Webflow
  • Experience with GenAI tools (Fal.ai, Adobe Firefly, or similar)
  • Motion design skills
  • Proven track record of executing projects successfully with teammates in different time zones.
