Provide TeleHospitalist coverage at Finley Hospital in Dubuque Position is employed with UnityPoint Clinic Flexibility with schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays 15-16, 9-hour shifts/month 10a-7p 0.8 FTE Self-scheduling Response time within 30 minutes Utilize Vidyo Telehealth Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Responsibilities Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered. Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families. Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed. Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc. Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Requires 1 year of bedside clinical experience as a Hospitalist Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in your state of residency, AND IA, IL and WI Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice Credentialed at all UPH hospitals staffed by a TeleHospitalist Unemployable states: NY, CA, OR, VT, WA, DC We offer Shift based compensation with RVU production and performance incentive A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in.
