Job Summary

Site Reliability Services is an innovative platform services team dedicated to provide automation and adminitstration support for middleware, PaaS and SaaS platforms.Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the health and availability of production and Test environments. SRE must implement and maintain technologies that improve the scalability and reliability of our middleware and infrastructure.In this role, the Site Reliability Engineer will manage and maintain Jboss, Apache WebServer, Tomcat and WebSphere MQ platforms.A successful candidate must have hands on experience and able to provide on-call support.

What You'll Do
  • Automate the provisioning of all middleware platforms.
  • Install, Manage and support OpenShift Container platform.
  • Automate High Availability and Disaster Recovery for all production platforms.
  • Work as a liaison between DBA,Network,Security and Cloud Engineering Teams.
  • Quickly adapt new automation technologies and implement the same.
  • Instrument APM Monitoring tools.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • 5-7 years of related experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience with Jboss, Tomcat and IBM WAS.
  • Must have Solid knowledge of Redhat Linux Operating System.
  • Must be proficient with Ansible, Shell and Python Scripting.
  • Must have Solid Experience in - JMS, JNDI, JVM performance tuning.
  • Terraform experience is a plus.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline.
  • Technical Certifications are a plus.
Additional Qualifications
  • Possesses strong technical aptitude.
  • Advanced experience with: managing infrastructure in public cloud environments, scripting languages, troubleshooting across the entire stack: network, server, operating system, and application.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of: infrastructure and configuration as code solutions, setting up and integrating with security and code scanning tools, setting up, developing, and maintaining artifact repositories.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced experience interacting with systems and enterprise architects, executives, senior management, stakeholders, business units and developers around delivery of organizational initiatives.
  • Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback.
Physical Actions
This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
