<strong>Sr. Cost Analyst<br><br></strong><strong>Job Summary: </strong>Reporting to the VP of Finance, the position is responsible for conducting complex cost analysis and audits associated with the cost accounting function and lead the finance team in implementation of Cost Configurator module within ERP system to provide better cost and margin visibility to the organization.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Partner with plant leadership to support financial analysis and data-driven decision-making, ensuring the overall financial health of the facility.</li><li>Lead the implementation, ongoing maintenance, and user support of the JDE Cost Configurator module for Tuboscope facilities.</li><li>Develop, implement, manage, and continuously improve processes to ensure the accuracy of job costing standards, including annual and ad hoc cost roll exercises.</li><li>Ensure the integrity of work order processing, including material issues, labor postings, and the analysis of related variances.</li><li>Provide financial insight and guidance on the profitability of products and operational functions, partnering with plant management to drive performance improvements.</li><li>Review, monitor, and reconcile work-in-process (WIP) and outside processing clearing accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, including labor hours, headcount, and direct and indirect production expenses.</li><li>Support the production team with ad hoc financial inquiries, analysis, reporting, and decision support.</li><li>Collaborate closely with plant management to analyze daily, weekly, and monthly WIP activity.</li><li>Review and validate the accuracy of plant costing processes, including purchased part cost verification, router development, overhead rate validation, and labor rate accuracy.</li><li>Prepare and analyze month-end reporting, including variance analysis and plant Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance.</li><li>Perform duties related to SOX compliance, including WIP reconciliation, WIP subledger aging, inventory reconciliation, and manufacturing segregation of duties.</li><li>Review balance sheet and P&L accounts, provide detailed variance explanations, and resolve discrepancies or potential errors.</li><li>Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelors Degree in accounting required</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience </li><li>Strong experience in Accounting Role in a Manufacturing Setting</li><li>Advanced Excel proficiency.</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting theory and the practical application of financial principles</li><li>Experience with Hyperion and SmartView is preferred.</li><li>Hands-on experience with JDE or a comparable ERP system, particularly in a job costing environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.</li><li>Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Proven ability to analyze manufacturing process costing, identify variances, and drive updates to cost standards.</li><li>Skilled in identifying trends, synthesizing large data sets, and drawing actionable conclusions.</li><li>Proactive, results-driven work style with the energy and flexibility to meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Pay: 85k-98k<br><br></strong>
