We’re looking for a talented and motivated Sports Content Writer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for US sports and a good understanding of the online gambling landscape - from sportsbooks and daily fantasy to sweepstakes casinos. This is a great opportunity for an emerging writer eager to sharpen their skills, gain exposure across multiple sports and gaming verticals, and contribute to some of the most exciting brands in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation • Write engaging, accurate, and well-researched articles, previews, and features across major US sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, etc.). • Cover breaking news and trending topics quickly with fresh, original takes. • Contribute occasional content on other sports and emerging markets as assigned (i.e. UK, Canada, Australia). • Assist with coverage and features related to sports betting, daily fantasy, online casino and sweepstakes gaming. Editing & Optimization • Write clear, search-optimized content with attention to headlines, metadata, and internal linking. • Ensure all content meets editorial standards and reflects the brand’s tone and voice. • Update or repurpose existing content when required. Collaboration & Development • Work closely with Content SEO specialists to identify trending topics, keyword opportunities, and coverage gaps. • Support content planning and contribute creative ideas to help grow audience engagement. • Learn and adapt to performance feedback and evolving editorial priorities. Requirements • 2+ years of experience as a sports or gambling writer (freelance or full-time). • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to accuracy and clarity. • Solid understanding of US sports, fan culture, and sports betting. • Some familiarity with sports betting, daily fantasy, online casino, or sweepstakes content. • Basic knowledge of SEO and content management systems (WordPress experience preferred). • Ability to meet deadlines. Bonus Points For • Background in sports betting or fantasy sports content. • Ability to work flexible hours around live sporting events and key game days.
