Space Budget Analyst The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to support U.S. Space Force budget and programmatic efforts. You will play a critical role in evaluating, coordinating, and preparing budget documentation throughout the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This role combines business financial management expertise with advanced data analytics skills. You will support Space financials and program oversight while also leveraging tools such as Power BI, Power Platform, and Office 365 to develop dashboards, transform data, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You Have: • 5+ years of experience with DoD financial management in 1:1 client-facing support • 5+ years of experience with arenaflex Excel data analytics, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and large data sets • Experience with DoD financials, PPBE, budget formulation, POM, exhibits, and business financial management program oversight • Experience developing with the arenaflex Power Platform suite and providing technical support across Office 365, including in Teams, SharePoint, custom workflows, and automated processes • Knowledge of DoD financial management policies and regulations such as FMR, FAR, or DoD Acquisition System directive • Secret clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and 5+ years of experience within DoD financial management, OR 10+ years of experience within DoD financial management in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: • 5+ years of experience with program or project management • Experience with data visualization, including Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and semantic data modeling • Experience with Space Systems Center (SSC) acquisition processes • Experience with USAF or USSF and SSC budget planning and execution processes and DoD FM IT systems, including DEAMS and CCaR • Knowledge of data science methods and best practices such as data cleaning, structured and unstructured data analysis, and aggregating multiple sources • Knowledge of U.S. Space Command organizational structure and general operations • Ability to collaborate with analysts and business groups to translate requirements into reporting and dashboard solutions • Possession of excellent communication skills for working across various business and technical teams • Top Secret clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
