Role Highlights

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shipping department to ensure orders are prepared, processed, and shipped accurately and on time. This hands?on role involves working closely with shipping staff and the operations team to improve workflow, maintain high standards of accuracy, and resolve any issues that arise. The team leader manages workloads, supports team productivity, and promotes quality and accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and timely shipment of all goods while maintaining quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers to support seamless operations.
  • Provide daily leadership and guidance to the team, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and engagement while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Build and manage a high?performing team that demonstrates urgency, accountability, and strong cross?functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure that leadership goals are executed effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits of personal and team performance to drive continuous improvement, foster a trusting workplace, and encourage open, respectful, and honest communication.
  • Maintain and uphold exceptional plant standards and operational conditions.
  • Provide backup support to department manager when required.

Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of different shipping platforms to effectively support logistics operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast?paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Demonstrates reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods during work shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree (B.S.) preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


Certifications and Licenses

May be required to have a valid drivers license and meet Vantage Driver Approval requirements. Licensed to operate a pallet jack and/or forklift preferred.
