Aufgaben
  • Responsible for requirements management, evaluation and prioritization for the RAN area
  • Aligning the solution design with the defined 4G/5G network architecture and the requirements of product management
  • Developing concepts/feasibility studies, call procedures and architectures while taking the customer's perspective into account
  • Planning and coordinating RFQs (especially budget requirements) for the RAN area
  • Manages the selection of service providers and is responsible for the technical contract content
  • Identifies technical synergy potentials and derives recommendations for action in connection with the developement of the radio access network
  • Technical support in the context of strategic decisions.
  • Ensuring that IT solutions meet the requirements and standards of IT architecture

Profil
  • Completed technical university or college degree, preferably in the field of electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, engineering informatics, software engineering, software and systems engineering, robotics.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in the telecommunications sector or related industries (mobile device manufacturers, mobile and IT service providers).
  • Experience in the selection and evaluation of RAN suppliers, their solutions, and the design of RAN solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of RF technology and mobile communication systems (especially 5G NR & LTE) as well as open interfaces (oRAN) and virtualization (vRAN).
  • Knowledge of call flows, call procedures.
  • Experience negotiating with internal and/or external organizational units, internal customers, as well as system suppliers and integration partners.
  • Independent, structured, reliable, committed, and results-oriented working style with a 'hunger for success,' assertive.
  • Quick comprehension, strong analytical skills.
  • Practical experience in agile methods, agile mindset, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary work in agile teams as well as learning new technologies and tools.
  • Target-group-specific communication skills and a strong talent for presenting complex topics and interrelationships in engaging presentations; experienced in stakeholder management at all levels up to executive management; confident, open demeanor, charismatic personality.
  • Negotiation-level English and very good German.
