These typically include data migrations, AI extraction and system integrations, including for CLM systems and Document Management tools. The Senior Legal Engineer will be instrumental in leading the legal engineering workstream across complex migration and AI extraction projects.</p> <p> </p> <p>We’re looking for someone pro active, adaptable and excited by the prospect of helping a wide range of clients make the most of their data with cutting edge legal technology applications.</p> <p> </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p><strong>Client & Solution Engagement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support discovery workshops and client requirements gathering for migration, AI extraction, and related data services engagements.</li> <li>Act as a client facing subject matter expert for migration design, validation approaches, and legal technology workflows.</li> <li>Support technical scoping and solution definition for prospective and active client engagements.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Migration Design & Delivery</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own migration design deliverables, including Migration Design Playbooks, metadata mapping documentation, business rules, validation logic, and technical assumptions.</li> <li>Analyse source repositories, document structures, metadata models, and client requirements to define migration approaches.</li> <li>Work closely with migration developers to translate design requirements into executable migration logic.</li> <li>Support sample migration execution, validation review, remediation planning, and production readiness assessment.</li> <li>Coordinate pre migration and post migration inventory validation activities.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>AI Extraction & Validation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead AI extraction projects through requirements analysis, extraction rule/prompt design, validation planning, QC coordination, and accuracy assessment. </li> <li>Work with client and technical teams to refine extraction logic and improve model performance based on validation outcomes. </li> <li>Analyse extraction exceptions, identify trends, and support remediation planning.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Delivery Governance</strong><strong> & Risk Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, data quality issues, and assumptions.</li> <li>Escalate delivery concerns early to project managers and delivery leadership.</li> <li>Manage test processes and key milestone signoffs, including QAT, UAT and remediation.</li> <li>Maintain high quality delivery documentation aligned with governance standards and project stage gates.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Collaboration & Team Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Mentor junior legal engineers and support team capability development.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with project managers, delivery managers, migration developers, integration teams, and customer stakeholders.</li> <li>Support standardisation of delivery best practices, templates, and repeatable methodologies.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Ideally experience working in the legal industry, with a strong understanding of legal operations and technology.</li> <li>Proven technical skills and knowledge in legal technology, ideally in one or more of AI extraction tools, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) or Document Management systems.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.</li> <li>Strong organisation skills, with experience in delivering complex technical projects from inception to completion.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients.</li> <li>Strong understanding of: <ul> <li>metadata mapping </li> <li>document migration workflows </li> <li>validation methodologies </li> <li>legal repository structures </li> <li>AI assisted document extraction / QC </li> </ul></li> <li>Experience working in structured delivery environments with governance stage gates and customer approvals.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Join our team and play a key role in transforming how legal departments operate through innovative data services solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Consilio, LLC is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.</p> <p> </p> <p>#LI-ML1</p> <p>#LI-Remote</p>
