ABOUT THE ROLE: Based in the US East Coast, you will serve as a key pillar of our global Legal team and act as the primary strategic partner for our rapidly expanding North American go-to-market operations. You will collaborate closely with the Berlin-based HQ but will operate with significant autonomy to drive deal velocity and manage risk in our largest growth market. We are looking for a pragmatic and commercial-first Lawyer whose core mission is to own and accelerate commercial contracting in the AMER region. In our high-growth environment, agility is essential. Beyond commercial transactions, you will act as a true generalist by fielding inquiries across privacy, employment, corporate, and tax matters as they arise in the region. While you will be the expert on US matters, we need a lawyer with a global mindset. You should be comfortable navigating cross-border nuances and stepping in to support deals in other jurisdictions like EMEA or APAC when volume demands it. We are looking for someone who knows how to apply sound legal judgment outside their home jurisdiction and understands when to escalate specific local issues and contribute to refining playbooks and infrastructure needed to scale our operations efficiently. ABOUT THE TEAM: You will be the fourth addition to our growing Legal team. Together, we manage and own all legal aspects of our 4 entities worldwide. We value autonomy, pragmatism, and collaboration, and we take pride in combining legal expertise with a deep understanding of the business. While the core team is based out of Berlin, Germany, this role would be a remote role with some travel required (ca. 1-2 times a year) to visit Headquarters. ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL: Drive Commercial Success: • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including customer agreements (full B2B SaaS contracts incl. SLAs), partnership agreements, NDAs, and procurement contracts • Provide strategic legal support to Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and Customer Success to enable frictionless deal cycles and renewals while protecting Talon.One’s interests • Help build and maintain scalable contract templates and negotiation playbooks for internal teams Be a Trusted Legal Partner Across the Business: • Advise on go-to-market strategies, campaigns, product launches, and other business initiatives • Provide day-to-day legal advice and address ad hoc legal queries from all areas of Talon.One Enable Smart Risk-Taking: • Translate legal concepts into practical, business-focused guidance that supports innovation without unnecessary delay • Proactively identify legal risks and propose creative, pragmatic solutions Support Global Expansion: • Help ensure our commercial practices and operations comply with relevant local laws in key markets • Support corporate structuring, international contracting, and general entity matters in collaboration with the Director Legal Contribute to Legal Infrastructure: • Help build and maintain internal legal playbooks, FAQ libraries, self-service tools, and guidelines for internal stakeholders • Contribute to team operations and knowledge sharing, and support cross-training within the Legal Team and wider organization to ensure business continuity WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE: • You are a US-qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial, IP/IT, or tech law (either in-house at a SaaS/tech company or from a reputable law firm).
