About the role: This position works within our client fulfillment department. You will be responsible for managing your own book of clients and are responsible for delivering our services. What you'll do as a Senior Accountant at Bookkeeper360: • Manage client relationships weekly and monthly • Is the primary point of contact for Bookkeeper360 clients • Interact with business owners, providing them monthly financial reviews, or, as needed by the client • Must have a sense of urgency to address tight deadlines with a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger, month-end close functions, and financial reporting • Manage and lead 1-3 bookkeepers in maintaining the transactional bookkeeping tasks on the accounts, such as AP/AR, categorizing expenses, reconciliations, etc. • Effectively delegate and review the work assigned to your team of bookkeepers to ensure promptness and accuracy • Reconcile tax returns to books and records • Deliver exceptional service on time and on budget • Complete any back work projects in an efficient, timely manner • Routinely communicate with your manager relating to financial close, accounting issues, and deliverables • Leverage multiple cloud-based accounting systems and integrated add-ons to provide accounting services for our clients • Set up and manage cloud technology integrations • Review workflow and business operations, and make technology and app recommendations to increase efficiencies How to Be Successful in This Role: • Driven and accountable: You take initiative, own your results, and strive for excellence • People-centered: You lead with empathy, humility, and collaboration • Hustle mindset: You’re motivated, competitive, and ready to lead the pack • Lifelong learner: You’re curious, growth-minded, and always leveling up • Tech-forward: You embrace new tools, love innovation, and thrive in a remote, digital environment Gets you to the top of the list: • A passion for helping small businesses • 3-5 years of experience overseeing the work of bookkeepers or staff accountants • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field (BS/MS/MBA preferred) • Experience working in e-commerce, product companies, technology, professional service businesses, and real estate industries • Cloud-based accounting experience • Public accounting experience • Consulting experience • Expertise in accrual basis financial reporting What you can expect as a Team Member: • Salary range from $85,000-$95,000/year + variable compensation eligibility after 6 months • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K with employer match • Paid parental leave and job security for all new parents (Moms, Dads, Adoptive, Foster) • Fully remote workplace • Unlimited PTO after the first year • Company paid holidays • Virtual team-building activities and other company-wide events • Collaborative team-based work environment • Career path and advancement opportunities - company policy of promoting from within At Bookkeeper360, we are committed to hiring diverse talent of different backgrounds and as such, it is important to us to provide an inclusive work environment for all.
