Leads and executes theft mitigation strategy designed to reduce number of theft and fraud incidents. Creates and maintains a safe club environment through the execution of theft deterrence strategies, member engagement and delivery of our physical security standards. Supports Front End Manager with training and development of Member Experience Ambassadors. Partners with RAPM and Home Office on execution of 3rd party guard deployment. Monitors and executes all company asset protection programs.<br><br><strong>Leadership:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Know their business/business acumen, including current and prior shrink results. Provide team support and empowerment to resolve every member concern.</li><li>Ensure a safe and positive environment and experience for the members.</li><li>Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards</li><li>Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA)</li><li>Fast, Friendly Full, Fresh, Clean<br><br></li></ul><strong>Club Standards: Lead teams to deliver GOLD club standards daily.<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain company merchandise protection program</li><li>Monitor lockup cage ensuring it is clean and organized daily</li><li>Member Experience Ambassadors are trained and knowledgeable in recent theft trends<br><br></li></ul><strong>Know Your Business: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Acquire a deep knowledge of key metrics and reporting for total club and department performance</li><li>Drive performance and profitability by using reporting to identify theft trends and areas of opportunity</li><li>Have the foresight to identify theft activity and develop a plan to mitigate before it negatively impacts the club</li><li>Communicate a simple message to your team on the connection between consistent operational performance and achieving club financial targets<br><br></li></ul><strong>Primary Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Develops/teaches company asset protection programs and initiatives.</li><li>Investigating results from inventory count program to identify theft activity.</li><li>Executes Asset Protection Routines as outlined in the Asset Protection Supervisor Calendar pertaining to theft and fraud.</li><li>Execute merchandise protection standards focused on current club theft trends.</li><li>Partner with RAPM and investigate internal and external theft, fraud, and organized retail crime cases.</li><li>Assists RAPM in deployment of 3rd Party Guards</li><li>Acts as liaison between club leadership and local police department and community</li><li>Communicates results of investigations and provide updates to leadership based upon facts of each case.</li><li>Conduct weekly CCTV review per the Asset Protection calendar.</li><li>Complete weekly data entry of inventory recoveries per the Asset Protection calendar.</li><li>Manage, review, and resolve losses identified through exception-based reporting and cash variances.</li><li>Maintains all club policies and procedures.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, grocery and/or management experience is preferred.</li><li>Prior, Law Enforcement, asset protection, safety, and/or inventory control experience required.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.</li><li>Forklift experience preferred.</li><li>Open shift availability required.</li><li>At least 18 years of age.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Conditions <br><br></strong><ul><li>Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There may be a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.</li><li>Occasionally requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.</li><li>Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers. There may be frequent exposure to cleaning agents and hazardous material.<br><br></li></ul>In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00
