Expected salary range of $91,800 to $102,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k). Location This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to work a corporate, day-shift schedule on Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time. Up to 15% travel is required, to attend in-person client site and internal team meetings as required by leadership. Primary Purpose of Position The Sales Account Executive, SMB role drives growth for Constellation by acquiring new Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers and delivering innovative energy solutions. This role focuses exclusively on hunting and developing new business opportunities, leveraging Constellation's industry-leading portfolio of electricity, natural gas, and sustainability offerings to help businesses achieve their energy goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a competitive environment, excels at building relationships from the ground up, and is passionate about helping customers navigate the evolving energy landscape. Primary Duties and Accountabilities • Identify and engage prospective SMB customers through outbound outreach, inbound inquiries, and targeted campaigns aligned with Constellation's growth strategy. • Lead consultative discovery conversations to uncover customer challenges and design tailored energy strategies using Constellation's full portfolio of solutions, including renewable and efficiency offerings. • Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring accurate tracking in Salesforce and adherence to established sales processes. • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and needs assessment through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution while consistently achieving or exceeding individual sales quotas and performance KPIs. • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations partners to refine targeting strategies, improve lead conversion, and deliver a high quality customer experience. • Monitor energy market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings to effectively position Constellation as a trusted advisor to customers. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of B2B sales experience with a focus on new business acquisition, or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills • Expertise in prospecting and objection handling • Self-motivated, competitive, and accountable, with the ability to thrive in an autonomous, high-performance culture • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs and in-person attendance for trainings, all-hands meetings, and other moments that matter • Must be willing to travel 15% Preferred Qualifications • Experience meeting and exceeding sales metrics and KPI's • Passion for sales and the drive to succeed in a sales role • Energy industry experience • Expeience in deregulated energy markets with an emphasis on power and/or gas • Knowledge of Energy Efficiency, and Sustainability Solutions • Proficiency with sales focused software tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, and Highspot Apply tot his job
