As a Research Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our research programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive funding and resources towards our important work. Oversee the financial operations of research programs at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to research finance, including federal and institutional policies. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including researchers, department heads, and funding agencies, to secure and allocate resources for ongoing and future research projects. Develop and maintain budgets for research programs, including forecasting and monitoring expenses and revenues. Prepare and submit financial reports and grant proposals to funding agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage and monitor grants and contracts, including tracking expenditures, ensuring proper utilization of funds, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies in research operations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, including finance and administrative teams, to facilitate smooth financial processes. Stay current on changes in regulations and guidelines related to research finance and proactively address any compliance issues. Train and mentor junior staff members on research finance best practices and procedures. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making related to research finance and resource allocation. Act as a liaison between researchers and finance/ administrative teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Represent Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in meetings and conferences related to research finance.
