They are seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to lead the transition of a shopping platform to Shopify, ensuring scalability and seamless integrations across international markets. Responsibilities • Build and maintain the core Shopify front-end architecture using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. • Support integration efforts between Shopify and other internal systems, ensuring data, logic, and functionality flow smoothly. • Drive the migration of existing markets to Shopify, ensuring each regional storefront meets design, functionality, and performance standards. • Define and maintain a scalable, flexible Shopify structure that supports multiple markets and future feature growth. • Partner with internal teams and external Shopify vendors to align on best practices, technical standards, and scalability goals. • Contribute to the pilot release of the new Shopify experience — setting the foundation for future rollouts across additional markets. • Write clean, maintainable, and performant code that aligns with industry best practices. • Identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain high uptime and reliability. • Maintain technical documentation on integrations, architecture, and market configurations. Skills • Candidate must be located in Latin America (LATAM). • 7+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development. • 3+ years of hands-on experience building, customizing, and scaling Shopify stores. • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a focus on responsive design. • Experience with API integrations, Shopify Apps, and backend connectivity. • Proven track record in platform migrations or large-scale Shopify implementations. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams. • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership of technical deliverables. • Familiarity with React.js, Next.js, or similar front-end frameworks. • Experience working with multi-region, multi-language, or multi-currency e-commerce setups. • Knowledge of arenaflex/CD pipelines and version control (Git). • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
