They are seeking a Senior, HR Technology to enhance and optimize their Workforce Management system, partnering closely with HR leadership and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and configuration of HR technology solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage a framework to optimize Macy’s adoption of (UKG/Kronos) enhancements, patches, and new features. Partner with Module Owners, COE stakeholders, and HR leadership to assess business needs and align opportunities within each release cycle
  • Lead and support the implementation and configuration of Workforce Management (UKG/Kronos) functionality, including timekeeping rules, scheduling configurations, accruals, pay rules, and other core components. Ensure system design aligns with business requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices
  • Expand and maintain documentation of the Workforce Management ecosystem, including configuration catalogs, integrations, and reporting assets. Analyze system interdependencies to identify convergence points and opportunities for optimization
  • Develop and support reporting in (UKG/Kronos) and across other HR technologies. Use reporting to evaluate system performance, monitor operational trends, and support compliance requirements
  • Evaluate and apply best-practice approaches to (UKG/Kronos) configuration, including rule design, testing strategies, and feature deployment. Recommend improvements that enhance system performance, quality, and long-term sustainability
  • Serve as a primary partner to MTech and (UKG/Kronos) vendor teams to strengthen environment management practices that support parallel initiatives, testing cycles, and issue resolution
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned

Skills

  • Proven experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing UKG/Kronos Workforce Management, including timekeeping rules, scheduling, accruals, and pay rules
  • Strong ability to design, configure, document, and enhance HR technology solutions in alignment with business requirements, compliance standards, and best practices
  • Experience managing system enhancements, patches, and new feature adoption by evaluating business needs and aligning opportunities within structured release cycles
  • Ability to translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows into scalable system configurations and technical solutions
  • Strong reporting skills within Kronos and across HR technologies, with the ability to analyze system performance, operational trends, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to serve as a primary liaison to internal IT teams and external vendors, supporting environment management, parallel initiatives, testing cycles, and issue resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting recommendations and leading discussions with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to evaluate system logic, identify optimization opportunities, and solve complex problems independently
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and create configuration guides, reports, and procedural documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with a collaborative, partnership-driven mindset
  • Willingness and ability to complete required training related to (UKG/Kronos) and other HR systems
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience/education in a technology focused role are encouraged to apply
  • Understanding of wage and hour laws and compliance requirements; payroll knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM Cloud configurations preferred; ability to read and write basic SQL queries and analyze system logic or scripts is a plus
