Senior QA Automation Engineer, Algo Trading Industry leading financial services company has immediate need for a QA Automation Engineer with equity trading platform experience to join their growing team in a full time role. This individual will write specifications, prepare test coverage scenarios, write and execute automated tests suites for equity trading platforms, algorithms, quantitative analytics, reference data, and related products and services. Role Responsibilities • Design, write, execute, and maintain automated test cases and frameworks for algorithmic trading platforms, applications and services. • Provide test coverage based on specifications written by Quants including trading algorithms, models, features and services. • Analyze system logs, configurations and other platform related data using common technology tools for test confirmation and defect analysis. • Responsible for bug management processes, issue identification and tracking. • Collaborate with stakeholders (business analysts, developers, product owners, quants, end-users, and others) to understand business requirements and stakeholders' needs. • Serve as Level 2 support for production issues and related support needs. Required Skills/Experience • BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science and/or Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of experience building automated QA frameworks and test cases for sell-side Equity trade execution. • 3+ years of experience writing automated test scripts in Python, Java, or similar programming language for equity trading platforms and services. • Experience with OMS/EMS such as InfoReach, Fidessa, FlexTrade, Portware, Triton, etc. • Strong understanding of order management and order routing • Strong knowledge of FIX protocol, Linux/Bash including scripting, and SQL. • Understanding of US, EMEA and APAC Equity market structure and market data. • Knowledge of Dark Aggregation, Execution Algorithms and Smart Order Routing. • Working knowledge of testing methodologies, including test case design, test scripting, defect analysis, defect reporting, and defect tracking. • Experience with source control systems such as Git, Perforce, SVN, etc. • Experience with software lifecycle tools such as Jira, Jenkins/Travis-arenaflex/GitLab etc. • Understanding of product development lifecycles and iterative development methods with a commitment to quality and excellence. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting testing efforts to meet project needs and deadlines.
