We aim to make the world a better, more connected place.</p><p></p><p><b>Your New Role</b>…</p><p>CNN is looking for a Staff UX Researcher with our New Business team to help define the future vision of CNN’s new product initiatives, delivering insights to inform conversion, engagement and retention.</p><p>As a Product Designer II on the mobile apps team, you are a member of the world-class CNN Digital Product Design Team, which is responsible for creating industry-leading user experiences engaged by millions across the globe. CNN Digital is driven by a shared commitment to put our users at the center of the experiences we build and to push the boundaries on what an exceptional digital experience can be.</p><p></p><p>The Product Designer II is an experienced product designer, who’ll collaborate with fellow design, product, engineering, research, editorial, and analytics to create tools that enable journalists to tell immersive and impactful stories that inform and delight users. In this role you will have the opportunity to impact the future of CNN’s mobile native experience, one of the most trusted news organizations in the world, and at the same time impact CNN’s bottom line.</p><p></p><p><b>Your Role Accountabilities</b>… </p><ul><li>You will be an integral part of the product design team that is creating the next generation of CNN mobile apps, from small iterative improvements to long term vision.</li><li>You will be embedded in a cross functional squad focused and attend all squad and team ceremonies and be a part of a collaborative culture across CNN Digital.</li><li>You’ll partner closely with senior product designers across the organization, product managers and engineering on features and tickets, helping to shape requirements and deliver detailed final files for build.</li><li>As a team member, you’ll take part in and collaborate with your cross functional team on QA and testing.</li><li>You will collaborate with product and user research on plans for testing and research.</li><li>You are encouraged to challenge the status quo, understanding the boundaries of mobile technology, and the CNN business; but most importantly knowing when to push it.</li><li>You’ll utilize and evolve our Design System patterns as needed to contribute and create new, cross-platform compatible components. </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications & Experience…</b> </p><ul><li>0-2 years' work experience as a digital designer.</li><li>Knowledge of visual design elements including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.</li><li>Design portfolio highlighting work in native mobile experiences.</li><li>Familiarity with collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering.</li><li>Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Basic knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.</li><li>Interest in content creation, strategy, and communication is desirable; media experience is a plus.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><span>How We Get Things Done…</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>This last bit is probably the most important! Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $88,900.00 - $165,100.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
