The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo Tonawanda is seeking a professional and highly motivated individual for the Front Desk. We are seeking someone with great customer service skills who enjoys interacting with people. We are seeking a part-time overnight person for the 11p-7a shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Respond in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
  • Check identification and ensure that credentials provided are accurate and valid.
  • Register guests into the computer system, verifying reservation, contact details, and credit information.
  • Assign rooms to guests and make room keys.
  • Make and confirm reservations, including creating walk-in reservations.
  • Answer phone and guest questions, particularly pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, travel directions; and/or making recommendations regarding shopping, dining, entertainment or local attractions.
  • Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
  • Generate bills, collect payments, and make change for guests, while maintaining a house bank and making deposits; accurately reporting of receipts daily.
  • Assist with daily breakfast set up.
  • Record guest comments or complaints, referring guests to manager as necessary.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned such as helping wash and fold laundry.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must possess basic computer skills and basic computational ability.

  • Prior customer service experience and/or hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of the Buffalo Tonawanda area and its attractions preferred.
  • HotelKey Experience is a Plus!
