Smart House Improvement is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Online Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This fully remote position is responsible for generating sales, nurturing leads, and guiding customers through the purchasing process for smart home and home improvement services.
As an Online Sales Consultant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for potential clients who inquire through our website, social media platforms, phone calls, and digital advertising campaigns. Your role is to educate customers on our smart home technologies, security systems, and home improvement solutions while delivering a seamless and professional online sales experience.
The ideal candidate is persuasive, tech-savvy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. This role requires strong communication skills, sales expertise, and the ability to build trust with customers through virtual interactions.
Key Responsibilities1.
Lead Management & Conversion
- Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through website forms, social media, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls and emails to warm and cold prospects.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, budget, and project scope.
- Present tailored smart home and home improvement solutions based on customer requirements.
- Close sales and secure service appointments for installation teams.
2. Virtual Sales Presentations
- Conduct virtual consultations via phone or video conferencing platforms.
- Explain product features, service packages, and pricing structures clearly and confidently.
- Demonstrate how smart home systems improve security, energy efficiency, and convenience.
- Provide accurate estimates and answer detailed customer questions.
- Overcome objections professionally and effectively.
3. CRM & Documentation
- Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems.
- Track communication history, sales progress, and follow-up activities.
- Update lead statuses and sales metrics daily.
- Prepare digital proposals, quotes, and service agreements.
- Coordinate with administrative and field teams to ensure smooth handoff after sale closure.
4. Relationship Building
- Build rapport and trust with customers through consistent communication.
- Follow up with prospects who have not yet committed.
- Maintain post-sale communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Encourage referrals and repeat business.
- Represent Smart House Improvement professionally in all interactions.
5. Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Coordinate with field technicians regarding project scheduling.
- Communicate customer expectations clearly to installation teams.
- Share feedback from customers to improve service offerings.
- Participate in team meetings and sales performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in home improvement, technology, or service-based industries.
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual sales environment.
- Strong internet connection and dedicated home workspace.
- Familiarity with CRM software and online communication tools.
