New loveLife Trust is a youth leadership development NGO that campaigns with nationwide community level outreach and supports programmes that promote socio-economic and healthy, HIV-free living among young South Africans. loveLife has reached unprecedented scale in implementing cutting-edge comprehensive and combined social behaviour change programming face-to-face with adolescents.

The Trust is looking to recruit a suitable candidate to assist with the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for loveLife programme interventions. The successful applicant will be required to fulfil the following functions with technical excellence.

· Data analysis for funders and other reports as well as funding proposals for review by the National Manager: Programme Measurement & Design.

· Overseeing and managing the implementation of the monitoring system.

· Liaising with the National Manager: Programme Measurement & Design around progress of implementation & challenges affecting reporting for performance management & funder requirements.

· Coordinate query management processes by liaising with monitoring system developer and the National Manager: Programme Measurement & Design, assessing, recording and following up on queries, as well as managing the in-house support team.

· Create, manage and update interactive Power BI Dashboards and reports to track project performance.

· Engaging with loveLife provincial teams, national management and the development team on a quarterly basis to discuss and implement system improvements.

· Track project performance by ensuring data quality, accountability, and reporting are achieved

· Provide monitoring system training support to provincial implementation teams, this includes designing training material in cooperation with the National Manager: Programme Measurement & Design.

· Coordinate procurement processes and stock distribution for efficient system implementation.

· Assists with quality assurance or data reconciliation if the need arises.

· Assist with the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for loveLife programme interventions.

· Assist in reviewing methods for recording, reporting and analysing progress toward organizational targets.

· Participate in the monitoring and evaluation processes with partners from the NGO, government and academic sectors.

· Participate in the development of Annual Reports and Funder reports.

· Write monitoring and evaluation reports and fact sheets for public dissemination.

· Participate in the design, implementation, analysis and interpretation of evaluation studies to assess if loveLife programme interventions have achieved their objectives, as well as, to ascertain the reach and impact thereof.

Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:

· Diploma or Degree in the health or social sciences or a related field.

· Experience in monitoring and evaluation of health or social related projects and programmes.

· Experience in developing dashboards using Power BI or Ms Excel.

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in research in a health or social related field.

· Experience in reporting monitoring and evaluation data for health and development programmes.

· Qualification in quantitative and qualitative research methods would be an added advantage.

· Experience in writing and presenting papers at national conferences would be an added advantage.

· Experience in data analysis of health or social related data using appropriate software such as SPSS or STATA is essential.

· Strong understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM), logframes, and indicator tracking.

· Sound knowledge of public health, able to interpret data and information in order to generate reports.

· Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks that utilize the results chain.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office - including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

· Very good understanding of data capturing systems.

· Training experience in the use of Power BI and development of dashboards for data visualisations.

· Training experience and experience in the development of training materials and strong data analysis skills.

· Driver’s Licence.
