Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating repair and maintenance activities within the plant and for overseeing spare parts warehouse operations. In this role, you will lead the Maintenance team and support the execution of area strategies to ensure high levels of reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on established plans and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Implement and continuously improve maintenance strategies to maximize plant reliability.
  • Support and further develop predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Plan, organize, and optimize maintenance and repair shutdowns.
  • Ensure maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and equipment are kept in optimal condition.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor compliance related to MRO activities.
  • Manage material lifecycle and obsolescence while maintaining effective condition-monitoring strategies.
  • Supervise storeroom processes, including receiving, inventory control, and dispatching for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, including responsibilities related to hiring, performance management, talent development, and addressing conduct or performance issues when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Relevant experience in maintenance or engineering within a production environment
  • Good working proficiency in English and German
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, safety and quality focus, and a structured approach to work

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety principles and methodologies
  • Lean six sigma
  • SAP knowledge
  • People management experience
  • Project management experience
