Baker College is excited to announce an opportunity for a Jr Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team at the state-of-the-art Royal Oak campus!

Join Baker College as we launch an exciting new chapter in our brand story. The Jr Graphic Designer will play a key role in bringing our refreshed brand platform and newly created mascot to life through engaging print and digital designs that put students first. Working closely with the Art Director, this role will help visually tell the story of the student journey—from first inquiry to proud alumni—creating meaningful experiences at every touchpoint.

The Jr Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Art Director to concept, design, and deliver engaging creative across print, digital, motion, and branding initiatives. This role creates visually compelling, on-brand graphics and layouts that support advertising, websites, social media, video, email, and more—ensuring consistency, quality, and accessibility at every touchpoint. The Graphic Designer manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prepares accurate files for print and digital production, stays current with design trends and technologies, and adapts seamlessly to evolving priorities while contributing creatively to a cohesive, student-centered brand experience.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in graphic design, visual arts, motion graphics, web design, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with MarCom team members, Baker College colleagues, and external vendors. This role requires advanced image editing and retouching skills, the ability to create custom illustrations, and experience with motion graphics, video editing, and type animation. Proficiency in the full Adobe Creative Suite—including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects—is essential, along with working knowledge of Google and Microsoft Suites. Familiarity with photography, digital advertising specifications for platforms such as Meta, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, as well as experience with email marketing platforms, is a plus.
