Job Purpose

The Health & Safety Manager is tasked with creating, implementing, and supervising health and safety programs while also managing workers’ compensation for multiple Business Process Outsourcing sites.

The role ensures adherence to ISO 45001 standards, federal and state regulations, and local safety laws, with an emphasis on audit management and fostering a culture of safety across sites.

Note: This is a remote position requiring candidates to reside and be authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety System implementation across all sites
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations
  • Oversee audits and assessments, both internal and external
  • Act as the central point of contact for health and safety compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and manage incident investigations
  • Develop and update safety plans, policies, and procedures
  • Analyze safety data to pinpoint risks and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate safety into operations
  • Provide safety training and educational programs
  • Ensure compliance issues are resolved promptly
  • Maintain documentation for compliance and audits
  • Handle workers’ compensation claims across all states

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field like Occupational Health & Safety or Industrial Safety (Preferred)
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or equivalent experience (Preferred)
  • 5-7 years in health and safety management, preferably in a corporate or multi-site setting
  • Proven track record in auditing and ISO certification
  • Strong grasp of OSHA, state, and local safety laws
  • Experience in managing health and safety programs across multiple locations
  • Data analysis skills to drive improvement
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Domestic travel capability
  • Proficient in presenting to senior leadership
