Job Description Summary

Assists the Campus Police Officers with protecting and maintaining the safety and welfare of the community.

Job Requirements

Must possess excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the community.
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly when communicating in person, on the telephone, and via two-way radio.
Must provide a positive, enthusiastic professional image, including wearing of the approved uniform. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Ability to exercise discretion in handling difficult situations. Must deal tactfully with others.
Ability to maintain a calm manner in stressful and emergency situations.
Must exercise sound judgement.
Must be able to conduct oneself on an independent level as well as working with others.
Must possess discretion and the ability to keep all records, communications, and other information relative to the nature of the department's work in absolute confidence.
Reports to work on time and maintains regular attendance.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Perform other duties assigned.
