About the Role The Accounting Specialist role at Dental Accounting Group is responsible for supporting the bookkeeping needs of dental practice owners to ensure a smooth and successful financial operation. This is a client facing position, servicing many, and requires strong organizational and communication proficiency as well as regular and continuous availability to our clients and other team members during core business hours. This fully remote position requires a disciplined self-starter who can work independently and be productive outside a traditional office environment. Responsibilities • Monthly bookkeeping for dental clients • Downloading and posting bank and credit card transactions into QuickBooks Online • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts • Paying clients’ bills using Bill.com and/or QBO Bill Pay • Monthly QuickBooks account reconciliation and posting adjusting journal entries • Prepare and file city & state B&O returns • Process regular payroll for clients using a payroll platform such as Gusto, ADP, Paychex etc. • Prepare annual Form 1099s • Prepare Personal Property Affidavits • Prepare Unclaimed Property Reports • Generate monthly financial reports • Meet all recurring deadlines which cannot be extended • Manage multiple projects and client demands • Respond to client’s ongoing questions about their accounting, payroll and financial reports • Collaborate with other team members involved with projects for the same clients Qualifications • Minimum three years of full charge bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online experience • Experience working with multiple business clients in public accounting • Must be proficient with QuickBooks Online and arenaflex Office 365 • Constant attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple tasks • Self-starter, positive attitude, and professional appearance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High degree of organizational ability and time management • Takes a no-excuses approach to making things happen and takes responsibility for own actions and results Preferred Qualifications • Associate’s degree in accounting • Previous experience working in the dental industry • Knowledge of Gusto, Hubdoc and Bill.com • Knowledge of Double (Formerly Keeper) and Canopy Compensation: • Competitive salary DOE plus full benefits, which includes: • Holiday, vacation and sick pay • Retirement plan with company matching • Company paid medical, dental and vision insurance Keywords: bookkeeper, bookkeeping, accountant, accounting, remote, QBO Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $55,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Education: • Associate (Required) Experience: • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required) • QuickBooks Online: 3 years (Required) Location: • Remote (Preferred) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
