Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks within a busy dental practice. This role requires proficiency in dental software systems, as well as a strong understanding of Dental terminology and billing processes.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before filing.
  • Manage dental billing and coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Utilize DPMS systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental for practice management.
  • Assist with clerical tasks including filing, typing, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Dental administrative support with experience in a dental office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and health information management.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and Dental coding practices (ICD-9, ICD-10).
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and multi-line phone systems.
  • Bilingual abilities (English & Spanish) are a plus to enhance patient communication.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
