Spotify’s Strategic Planning Finance group is seeking an exceptional Analyst to join its team. In this role, you will help support a wide cross-section of Spotify’s financial planning and analysis work, ranging from the company’s long-range plan, legal entity structure, and capital planning. You will be working closely with the Manager and various cross-functional finance partners.


This role presents a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about the many different facets and segments of Spotify’s business. We are looking for someone that enjoys creative thinking, while bringing practical and scalable improvements to the models and presentations we employ in our day to day work.


What You'll Do
  • Deliver quarterly forecasts for Spotify’s 30+ Legal Entities, requiring close cross-functional partnership with our Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams.
  • These forecasts have many downstream use cases including, but not limited to, tax rate and tax liability forecasting, entity cash management & optimization, and internal transfer pricing transactions.
  • Support long-range planning efforts including capital allocation and capital management analyses.
  • Assist in share count forecasting which informs various workflows within legal entity forecast, capital strategy, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Improve and automate existing financial models and presentation materials (using SGL, AI tools, etc.).
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses and business case modeling that support Spotify’s FP&A, Investor Relations, and overall business planning processes.


Who You Are
  • 2+ years of relevant financial modeling experience in a complex and data-driven business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Advanced Google Suite skills with a deep understanding of model architecture and formula efficiency
  • Advanced SQL skills with an ability to navigate large data sets
  • Experience in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Workbench, and Claude
  • Strong quantitative skills and eye for business, with the ability to drive projects from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid of detail and granularity.
  • Experience distilling complexity into articulate narratives that cater to diverse audiences, especially those who are not quantitative or technical.
  • Intellectual curiosity, the ability to stay organized, and a proactive approach to learning and execution.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and “can-do” personality with a track record for nurturing strong cross-functional relationships.


Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in New York, NY.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.


The United States base range for this position is $67,172 - $95,960 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
