Forming Machine Operator

1st Shift: M-F 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
2nd Shift: M-F 4:00 pm - 12:00 am
3rd Shift: M-F 12:00 am - 8:00 am


Former Operators operate automated forming machines to produce pressed paperboard trays. Duties include:

  • Operate forming machines according to prints and specifications. Once fully trained, standard practice is to operate two formers.
  • Produce the required quantity within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Working on a PC to enter production information.
  • Be capable of acting as a floater as needed by supervision.
    • Remove completed pallets from the end of multiple production lines via a pallet jack.
    • Re-stock Corrugated, Pallets, Bags, and any other necessary supplies at multiple production lines.
    • Refill cleaning bottles and sanitary supplies at multiple production lines as needed.
    • Communicate with the Utility department regarding any items needed to stock production lines.
    • Help with loading machines as spare time allows.
    • Help make boxes for lines that the supervisor recommends.
  • During peak periods, team members may be required to work extended hours as business needs dictate.

  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
