Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food handling, preparation, and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Food Preparer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all food items are prepared efficiently, safely, and according to established standards, supporting the overall dining experience and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes for service periods.
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Support kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Handle food with care, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques to ensure quality.
  • Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods.
  • Assist with catering events and food service activities as needed to support various functions.
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimized through proper portioning and handling.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in food service environments such as restaurants, catering, or the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
  • Proficiency in basic culinary skills including knife skills, cooking, and meal preparation.
  • Familiarity with menu planning, food presentation, and serving techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy setting.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
