JOB OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. This role supports preventative maintenance programs, responds to service requests, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documents.
  • Ability to fabricate brackets, guarding, and other items needed in the manufacturing areas
  • Comply with the New Equipment Introduction policy and MOC policy regarding new equipment installations and changes.
  • Maintain LOTO and Red Tag procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility related equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with engineering for equipment and facility related enhancements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.

RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Flexibility and on- call scheduled to work over-time to support urgent equipment and facility related matters.
  • Ability to wear respirator protection equipment for extended periods of time and pass a required medical evaluation and respirator fit testing.
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required: technical certification preferred.
  • 6-7-years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field
  • 5 years of HVAC experience
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, schematics
  • Experience of troubleshooting equipment and facility problems
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC
  • Ability to maintain detailed records

SKILLS:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Ability to perform a variety of trades related tasks under limited supervision
  • Ability to weld using MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Team player, positive attitude

TRAINING:

  • Optional /Preferred certifications:
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (for HVAC work)
  • Electrical license (if required by state)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

Salary Range Disclosure: The hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 to $35.00, not including any variable pay. The total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
