Role Title

Facilities Cleaner/ Day Porter (up to 18 month Contract)

Purpose of role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Day Porter is responsible for visual inspection of space to ensure safety and cleanliness of Foresters dedicated space. This role is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of all Foresters floors, preparing workspace for new employees, reporting maintenance problems and other daily operational tasks that may be assigned. The position is required to be onsite.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct housekeeping and sanitization in Foresters areas
  • Regular cleaning of cubicle plexiglass partitions
  • Inspect kitchenettes, lunchrooms, employee lounges and break areas and clean as needed
  • Re-stock kitchenette supplies as needed
  • Clean all fridges, microwaves, water coolers and coffee machines in the kitchenettes
  • Maintain Personal Protective Equipment dispensers throughout the office space
  • Wipe down tables and chairs in all boardrooms/meeting rooms as meetings end
  • Load and unload executive boardroom dishwasher as needed
  • Respond to any major spills or other cleaning issues
  • Report any maintenance problems to Facilities Coordinator to action
  • Report any stained ceiling tiles/leaks to Facilities Coordinator to action
  • Clean and prepare workstations and offices for new employees and employee moves
  • Clean the Conference Center after a meeting/event and empty waste bins and trash containers
  • Provide back-up coverage for Facilities Technician as needed

 

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in office cleaning
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shifting priorities with accuracy, efficiency and in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Solid interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with all departments within the organization.
  • Positive attitude and team-player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and be adaptable to changing demands.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to comfortably lift and maneuver over 50 lbs

Salary Range:

$40,000 - $50,000

The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in a discretionary variable incentive plan, results are subject to both individual and company performance.
