Analyst II - Contributes to and participates in the selection/design, implementation, maintenance, and support of their assigned software applications using information technology, equipment, and processes used by PHS employees and customers. Serves as mentor for less experienced IT staff, helping and guidance when required.ACCOUNTABILITIESPlanning/Design:Participates with technical teams and vendors for the design of application infrastructure, hardware, storage, network requirements, security, integrations, viewing and workflow.Development/Build:Plans implementations and upgrades clinical systems.Testing:Ensures adequate testing, quality assurance and documentation of changes.Ensure test scripts have been created, reviewed, updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.Training/Certifications:Transfers knowledge and/or trains IT employees and advises end-users in the operation of their information systems. Maintains complete and current documentation for responsible systems and IT processes.Support the training team by keeping trainers informed of new functionality and system changes.Maintains required certifications.Implementation:Responsible for the activities like analysis and development, implementation, modification, and installation of low complexity systems in different operational environments.Implement changes using documented procedures.Communication:Create and follow project plans.Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records.Communicates with customers, administration, and team members with regard to information technology and services.Understand customer feedback and support data to optimize and resolve issues.Attends regular customer and team department meetings as scheduled.Maintenance/Support:Monitors system performance and quality.Plans for decommission of responsible applications when indicated.Ensure solutions are cost effective, audit and security compliant. Versions are no less than -2 from current.Support 24/7 on call on rotational basis.Some travel may be required.Other duties as assigned.Location: RemoteJob RequirementsEducation: Associates Degree or equivalent experience.Skills: Progressive knowledge of assigned clinical software applications and healthcare operations. Requires strong self-motivation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Years of Experience: Healthcare experience desirable but not required.Certification: Analysts supporting Epic will have or obtain Epic Certification in their primary application within three months of completing the first Epic class. Obtaining and maintenance of Epic Certification in the primary application is a mandatory job requirement. Obtaining and maintenance of a secondary or supporting Epic Certification will be at the discretion of leadership.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's Degree or 3 years' experience in Information Technology. Epic certification.Skills: IT background, effective oral/written communication, and follow-up skills. Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
