THE OPPORTUNITY Houlihan Lokey, a globally recognised leader in investment banking, is at a pivotal moment of expansion in Europe. This position is a key role within the EMEA Marketing Department of Houlihan Lokey, reporting directly to the EMEA Event Lead. The EMEA Event Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of high-touch marketing events designed to engage clients and strengthen the Houlihan Lokey brand across the region. The ideal candidate is a proactive and meticulously organized self-starter with a clear passion for event delivery. This role requires a professional who is eager to optimize their current skills and embrace new challenges. The ability to strategically prioritize and manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines is essential for success. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES End-to-End Event Strategy & Execution Manage a wide range of events including conferences, retreats, webinars, seminars, special events, private dinners, and receptions. Scope initial event enquiries from financial teams, ensuring alignment with Houlihan Lokey’s overarching marketing strategy with the support of management. Conduct comprehensive research and present detailed event solutions, including potential locations, venues, and suppliers, while diligently tracking availability and costs. Source and manage event merchandise and gifts appropriate for a sophisticated audience. Compile detailed post-event statistics and contribute to debrief reports to measure ROI and inform future strategy. Stakeholder & Communications Management Confidently manage internal stakeholders of assigned industry groups and external VIPs in a courteous and professional manner, acting as a reliable point of contact. Collaborate with Marketing Managers to execute the full event communication cycle, including save-the-dates, invitations, event reminders, web pages, social media, and other event collateral. Liaise with internal department members and financial professionals to build and refine optimal invitation lists and databases, assisting in proper follow-up with invitees. Event Logistics & On-Site Management Manage all aspects of delegate registration, including building registration sites and providing regular reporting to stakeholders. Oversee event pre-planning logistics, including the creation and management of rooming lists and the development of comprehensive staff briefing documents. Handle on-site preparation tasks, including name badge printing and the packing and shipping of event supplies. Provide flawless on-site event management and execution, acting as the primary point person to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. Financial & Operational Duties Reconcile and process all event-related invoices in coordination with the accounting department. Manage the internal and external EMEA event conflict calendar to avoid scheduling clashes. Maintain the events database, including all venue contact information and updated specifications. Oversee event inventory, managing supplies and ensuring the event storage area is organized and well-stocked. Stay current with the latest event industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 4-5 years in a dedicated event coordination or management role, either in-house or at an agency. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes and a keen eye for detail. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and make quick, sound decisions with the support of management. A self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented professional with a solution-focused mindset and a strong desire to learn. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to manage budgets and work effectively with external vendors. Flexible and open to changing priorities. Availability to work flexible hours as required by event schedules. Computer savvy, including advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new technologies with enthusiasm. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior event experience within a professional services or financial services environment. Working knowledge of event management platforms (e.g., Cvent, Meetmax). Working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot). Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot, Mailchimp).
