Our Client is seeking motivated and reliable Direct Support Professional in the Woodbridge area.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Support persons with intellectual developmental disabilities - facilitating personal growth, relationship building, and maintain a quality program
* Ensure residence is a secure, safe, pleasant, fun and physically clean atmosphere for residents
* Assist residents with daily living needs
* Encourage personal skill development by showing, teaching, talking, and coaching
* Provide opportunities for new experiences, including outings and in-home activities
* Encourage Individuals to develop and maintain relationships with housemates, friends, family, and significant others
* Provide opportunities for Individuals to learn decision-making and problem solving skills

CLIENT'S HOURS
* Monday-Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Ability to interact and communicate effectively with residents, visitors, peers, and managers
* Knowledgeable of plan of action procedure in case of emergency including documentation and relay of information.
* Have a thorough understanding of Individuals' ISP's - implement and document accordingly
* Complete daily log book process, and relay feedback to the Program Coordinator
* Attend annual and quarterly ISP meetings as requested
* Ability to complete and pass given background checks
* Current TB Results (within one year)
* Current CPR/First Aid Certification
