The role will be responsible for advising and influencing key management decisions through insight and recommending actions. Provide constructive challenge and scenarios for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and interpreting and explaining the drivers for business performance and scenarios on potential outcomes. This role will also assist in the creation of new capital reporting, leveraging AI and internal assets to deliver insights into capital spend to the business. The position reports directly to the Decision Support Manager and has frequent interactions with LexisNexis business partners and liaises with other Finance teams to provide financial support and improve business performance.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Management reporting: Provide timely, sound and actionable financial recommendations from insights on scenarios of future performance. Interpret, explain and drive financial performance using additional business insight and local knowledge to develop commentaries.</li><li>Strategic and tactical planning, budgeting and forecasting: Plan, Budget, RF1/2/3: Advise on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities based on “what if” scenarios. Provide insight on revenue and cost drivers based on understanding of competitor activities and local business knowledge. Provide clearly constructed recommendations for actions. Finalize the messaging and content for the budget presentation material.</li><li>Investment: Assist in building capital reporting to help manage spend on approved initiatives and assure that funded investments are progressing through development.</li><li>Internal control: Provide insight for the annual audits with the support of accounting. Follow internal controls and procedures to comply with data integrity and consistency.</li><li>Relations network (internal / external): Develop excellent relations and maintain regular contact with business partners such as Product Leaders, Finance Management, and other functional groups like Accounting and the Global Product Org.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Possess 5+ years of experience in a financial role (essential) and a deep understanding of P & L metrics and drivers working in a global organization.</li><li>Have a Financial Degree or Diploma, MBA or advanced business degree. Excellent knowledge of financial and management accounting, process and systems.</li><li>Demonstrated experience of achieving results in an international environment, with appreciation of differences in culture and legal frameworks.</li><li>Natural curiosity for AI powered learning and willingness to challenge existing processes to develop efficiencies and provide deeper insights.</li><li>Knowledge and application of financial technical accounting standards and management accounting techniques.</li><li>Robust knowledge and application of financial processes, metrics, drivers and dynamics for area of accountability.</li><li>System knowledge: Excel (advanced level), SQL Query writing (intermediate), PowerPoint (intermediate), Hyperion, PeopleSoft (or equivalent systems).</li><li>Ideally will have experience in LexisNexis /Industry comparator.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Work in a way that works for you<br><br></strong>We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
