The Badlands Off Road Park, the premier off-road destination in the Midwest, is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team in offering customers top notch customer service.

General Summary:

As a Badlands representative, you will be responsible for greeting customers with a smile and a happy, outgoing personality! Key priorities include welcoming customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, completing paperwork for park entry, answering phones, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Exceptional customer service and greeting customers with a smile is extremely important in this role because people come here to have fun!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner.
  • Completing liability paperwork for customers to be able to enter to ride.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience.
  • Help with unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
  • Independently stock shelves and recovers merchandise in the store.
  • Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
  • Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
  • Other duties may include: event participation, receiving, and more.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation.

Position Requirements:

Availability: This is a part time position. Hours would mostly be weekend mornings to early afternoon and also event days.

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or similar environments. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work outside in the elements when required.

Skills and Competencies: Ability to count money, add totals and make change without a cash register. Excellent customer service. Self-motivated. Customer Focus, Developing Potential, Results Driven, Strong Organizational Skills, Communication Skills, Problem Solving/Decision Making, Job Knowledge and Relationship Management.

Ability to fluently speak both Spanish and English to better help our Spanish speaking customers is a huge plus.

Job Types: Part time to Full time for the right candidate

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
