POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator, Partnership Development supports the Corporate Partnerships team by assisting in the development and creative of partnership opportunities that connect partner brands with the Dallas Mavericks fan base. This position will play a key role in supporting the team by bringing partnership ideas to life through high quality visual content and transforming content heavy outlines into visually compelling designs through the creation of a wide range of presentation collateral such as pitch decks. This role works cross-functionally with Corporate Partnership Sales, Partnership Marketing/Activation, Marketing, Digital, and Creative teams to support proposal development, sponsorship ideation, asset management, and client-facing materials. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.

JOB FUNCTION:
  • Assist in the development of partnership platforms and opportunities, including marketing, in-game elements, digital features, retail promotions, community programs, and special events.
  • Support the creation of sales proposals, pitch decks, and marketing collateral using graphic design and creative skills (DigiDeck, PowerPoint, one-sheets, recaps).
  • Develop custom pitch decks that tell a cohesive, integrated marketing story, strategically aligning partner goals with our brand through compelling visuals and clear messaging.
  • Produce pitch-related graphics, logos, charts, infographics, and other creative assets, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure brand standards are met across all deliverables and executing impactful designs that effectively communicate partnership opportunities.
  • Coordinate brainstorming sessions and internal meetings to generate new partnership ideas and inventory.
  • Maintain and update proposal trackers, sponsorship inventory reports, and client databases.
  • In collaboration with Business Intelligence, conduct market, category, demographic, and competitive research to support partnership development efforts.
  • Assist with corporate hospitality initiatives and sponsored events.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure partnership opportunities are feasible and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support partnership broadcast operations, including TV and radio
  • Provide general project support to the Partnership Development, Corporate Partnership Sales, and Partnership Marketing/Activation teams.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in partnership marketing, partnership activation, sales support, or sports marketing
  • General understanding of partnership sales concepts, client management, and partnership marketing
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Graphic design experience (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); DigiDeck experience a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
