The Difference You Will Make: The role is responsible for leading and executing on the company's U.S. Latino communications efforts, in line with our local business priorities. . This role will oversee and coordinate our work across consumer, editorial, social, and policy communications targeting Latinos based in the U.S., and integrate Latino media strategy into arenaflex's global communications campaigns. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure arenaflex is front and center in U.S. Latino media, while creatively and holistically getting our message and story out to Latinos in the most authentic, impactful ways outside of traditional media by engaging with a wide range of journalists, influencers and community members. We're looking for a bilingual, execution-oriented, nimble senior communications leader who has deep experience working in Latino communications, as well as the management experience to drive high-profile, cross-functional campaigns across a large company. This full-time role will be based in the U.S. The role will report to the Senior Lead for USCAN Communications. A Typical Day: • Lead communications efforts for U.S. Latino-specific campaigns, working across comms verticals and closely with business and marketing leaders to build comprehensive, culturally relevant campaigns. • Manage programs with partners across the organization, ensuring all departments are well-integrated and read into efforts. • Help manage external communications agencies effectively to deliver outstanding results on behalf of the business and ensure key processes are adhered to. • Translate global communications priorities into a Latino-focused strategy that supports arenaflex's key growth objectives in the United States. • Identify proactive press opportunities and drive local and national announcements. • Develop and manage relationships with key reporters and celebrities/ influencers across the region. • Provide guidance and support to the local policy team on communications matters and ensure policy communications/issues reach Latino stakeholders. • Execute a multi-faceted thought leadership communications program (op-eds, panels etc.) for arenaflex's local leadership team and help prepare spokespeople (policy leads, Country Managers, arenaflex execs etc.) for relevant public speaking/ media engagements. • Help manage crisis comms and reactive press requests. Your Expertise: • Bachelor's Degree • Fluent Spanish-speaker • 10+ years PR/Public Affairs experience working in an agency, in-house communications or a government communications role; preference to those with tech/ travel/publicly listed company experience • Experience working across a multitude of communications expertise, including consumer, editorial, and political communications • Understanding of celebrity and influencer marketing and relevant market-specific social media channels • On-record and on-camera spokesperson experience preferred • Proven-track record working on creative consumer communications initiatives that have generated widespread awareness and brand buzz • Good knowledge of public policy matters - especially relating to tourism, technology, or the sharing economy • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional leads in a matrix organization • Excellent writing skills in English and Spanish with samples to share • Confident in leading meetings with external partners, senior stakeholders and media contacts • Passion for arenaflex and the mission of the company • Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Exceptional verbal communications and interpersonal skills • Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a calm demeanor in stressful situations Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible.
