As a self-directed professional of the Clinical Research Finance team, you will be responsible for crafting budgets for various clinical studies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Your expertise will serve as a vital resource for faculty engaged in clinical research, guiding them on budgetary and Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) matters. Collaborating with diverse teams across the institution, you will ensure that all budgets are complete, accurate, and aligned with institutional goals.</p><p></p><p><b>Role Overview:</b></p><ul><li>Develop and lead budgets for clinical research studies, ensuring alignment with various funding sources.</li><li>Review study documentation to create budgets, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and amendments, while incorporating all relevant expenses.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost data and assess study feasibility.</li><li>Negotiate budgets and payment terms with industry sponsors to secure funding and improve revenue.</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls while maintaining detailed tracking of budget statuses.</li><li>Analyze budget data for accuracy and trends, and present findings to management.</li><li>Provide education and support on budgeting practices and compliance to research staff.</li><li>Lead or participate in departmental projects and initiatives and provide interim coverage for Budget Managers as needed.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Clinical Research, Finance, or a related field.
