The Janitor / Cleaner is primarily a health and safety related position at ONroute to ensure that the required level of cleaning standards is maintained as well as disinfection of the plaza, equipment and overall space. ONroute is hiring part time and full time cleaners! **What we offer**: - Flexible hours/ shifts - $17.90 per hour - Benefits plan; Health and Dental coverage (full time employees) - Employer match Registered Retirement Savings Plan (full time employees) - Paid Training - Free uniforms - Safe, respectful and inclusive workplace **The job**: - Responsible for all basic cleaning in and outside the building - Cleaning and disinfecting all surface areas including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows - Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals - Picking up any trash and emptying the trash bins inside and outside - Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies - Responding to employee or guest requests - Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests - Performs additional duties as needed Reliable transportation is required as our plazas are located on the 401/ 400 highways, and public transportation is not available. **Who you are matters**: While previous experience working in restaurants, food service or retail as a cashier, barista, food prep, customer service/sales associate or team member is always great, the most important thing is who you are!
