THE ROLE:

 

World Wide Marketing at AMD is looking to hire an A-player to help create, own and drive Marketing’s budgeting and funding process.  This function stretches across all the business units as well as multiple functions at AMD.  You will help coordinate a fast-paced super collaborate team of individuals who are passionate about their work and thrive on guaranteeing the best ROI for AMD.  Your function will range from supporting a highly functioning/collaborative team while ensuring budget accuracy, managing/creating metrics and helping direct marketing spend strategy.  You will have the opportunity to interact with P/L owners, GM’s, finance/HR/Ops, external partners and sales/marketing leaders across the globe.

THE PERSON:

 

To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable with change, able to manage challenging deadlines, and an effective communicator who can innovate on the fly. You build strong relationships based on trust, stay highly aligned with key stakeholders, and consistently drive the CMO’s objectives while acting as a disciplined and accountable steward of marketing spend.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Your success is critical to World Wide Marketing’s ability to perform

 

  • Global Marketing Fund management: Maintain full ownership of global marketing funding flows across programs and business divisions.
  • Budget tracking and reporting: Own end‑to‑end tracking, reporting, and analysis of partner marketing spend. Deliver in‑depth strategic insights to optimize partner marketing investment, strategy, and execution.
  • Budget communication: Clearly and effectively communicate funding allocations and budget movements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Cross‑functional alignment: Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional internal AMD teams to ensure seamless processes and strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Financial close and reconciliation: Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year-end close activities, including reporting and reconciliation. Provide high‑quality quarter‑end and year-end reports to stakeholders, ensuring on‑time delivery, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Language requirement: Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is required.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience leading budget management and financial planning in complex, cross‑functional environments.
  • Extensive experience in finance disciplines with a focus on planning, operations, data analytics and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Experience using Power BI and advanced data visualization tools to deliver actionable insights.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated ownership of budgets, with extensive experience in planning, reporting and analysis
  • Proven ability to drive consensus, influence stakeholders and lead change.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize and present insight effective to C -suite audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and automate tasks or workflows is highly desirable.

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Science, or Business.
