PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Business Intelligence Analyst I utilizes strategic planning and financial/market analysis knowledge to assist management in identifying, defining, and implementing strategic initiatives with a global focus. Researches and assists with analysis of potential business opportunities consistent with the company’s short and long range objectives and strategic plans. Conducts routine analyses and modeling to evaluate the impact of and respond to public policy changes to existing business lines and to identify potential business. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under close supervision, conduct market research, data collection, and various related analyses for long and short range programs and plans that provide for strategic, new business opportunities and direction for the Corporate Development Office (CDO). • Assist with translating quantitative and qualitative analyses into actionable corporate strategies under the supervision of the senior management. • Analyze and research projects through financial feasibility studies and market research using primarily external data. • Assist with generating business planning models to develop strategies and presents findings to the pertinent members of Corporate Development. • Utilize data primarily from multiple external sources and targeted internal data, engage in data analyses and modeling of current initiatives and programs as requested by senior management. • Utilize external data in “data-rooms”, assist in forming conclusions and questions around data for conversation with external sources. • Collaborate with the appropriate business line senior management; assist in the development of strategic business plans. Assist in performing routine economic analyses, financial estimates, and risk analysis to ensure projected rates of growth and profitability potential in support of the strategic growth plans. • Collaborate with various FME departments to develop model assumptions and to understand impacts of new business opportunities on existing sectors. • Assist with managing projects related to the implementation of strategic initiatives, working closely with business line owners, management, and stakeholders to identify resources, establish timelines and milestones to ensure successful execution. • Assist in the drafting of write-arenaflex and materials for presentation to senior management and the supervisory board. • Assist with various projects as assigned by senior management. • Refer to related senior level analyst(s) for assistance with higher level problems that may arise. • Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary. • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness. • Builds productive internal/external working relationships. • Develops professional expertise. • Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: • 0 – 2 years’ related experience. • Ability to assist in creating local marketing/strategic plans. • Business Development exposure from evaluation through integration and implementation, preferred. • Demonstrate ability to directly interact with various FME stakeholders including physicians. • Ability to function as a strong member of a highly motivated and integrated organization team. • Strong communication and exceptional interpersonal skills required for this position. • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and email applications.
