The Business Development Manager will complement the R&D validation that exists today with consistent commercial planning, financial rigor, and launch execution. Role Overview The Business Development Manager will focus on external growth and commercial execution, supporting acquisitions, partnerships, innovation development and product launches through financial modeling, deal support, and business case development. This role sits at the intersection of business development, technical feasibility, and commercialization, ensuring that opportunities moving out of the lab are supported by clear economic logic, execution planning, and leadership-ready decision materials. Key Responsibilities Product Pipeline & Launch Execution • Own the development of commercial business cases for new product launches. • Translate R&D validation into launch-ready plans (market sizing, pricing logic, arenaflex assumptions, margins). • Partner with Business Units to accelerate time-to-launch and improve consistency of commercial planning. • Support go-to-market strategy and launch sequencing across regions. External Partnerships & Market Intelligence • Evaluate and structure external partnerships and supplier relationships. • Conduct market and competitive analysis to support growth strategy. • Track performance of partnerships and acquisitions against original business cases. Internal Bridge: R&D Commercial • Act as a commercial interface between R&D, Sales, and Operations. • Support project execution from lab to plant where commercial readiness is the limiting factor. • Engage with regulatory experts as needed to support commercialization assumptions. #LI-DNP TECHNICAL SKILLS Required • o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field. • o Minimum 7 years’ experience in business development or corporate strategy. • o Proven experience building and managing financial models, valuation analyses and business plans. • o Ability to translate technical developments to plain language suitable for wide audiences. An asset • o Additional credentials such as MBA/CFA • o Experience in technical and/or R&D adjacent business roles • o Advanced proficiency in M365 PERSONAL ABILITIES Required • o Strong organizational skills and execution mindset to keep multiple projects moving smoothly. • o Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different areas. • o Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to build relationships and share ideas clearly. • o Strategic and results-driven, comfortable navigating change and focused on achieving goals.
