The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing sales activities and acquiring new accounts in not yet fully developed but emerging markets with high potential. By evaluating market potential and identifying potential business opportunities, the Business Development Specialist develops & maintains relationships with prospects / partners and works toward negotiating and closing deals in the respective region. Grow with us- Your Responsibilities & Tasks: • Evaluate market potential and identify prospects through field activities to seize opportunities, then devise and implement business plan to grow not yet fully developed markets / industries to achieve regional targets • Identify and develop new business opportunities in emerging markets to drive growth and revenue in the assigned territory • Turn opportunities into wins and grow the Sartorius presence in LatAm • Strive to understand and map the processes of these new clients and determine the health of their pipelines as well as other entities they may be in partnership with • Create and execute business development strategies and plans, reaching out to potential customers through various prospecting efforts (emails, calls, visits, conferences, demos etc.) to increase our customer base • Qualify & prioritize leads based on needs and fit, presenting our value proposition for products or services • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for business initiatives, including support in negotiating contracts and agreements to close deals achieving revenue and market share goals • Build and nurture strong relationships with current & potential customers, partners, and other stakeholders • Identify and establish collaboration with local key opinion leaders in prospective markets to provide endorsements and presentations for Sartorius products to drive awareness and adoption • Analyze sales data and performance metrics (e.g. lead interests, opportunities, contacts) to track performance of the business development activities, and evaluating and improving the best business development practices • Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads, contacts and opportunities, all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system • Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance standards relevant to respective region What will convince us- Qualification & Skills: • Academic degree in life sciences, engineering, business administration or marketing (higher level of education would be beneficial) • Min. 5 years sales or field marketing, with preferable laboratory / process-based experience in Life Science • Good network and market understanding for the respective markets, combined with process understanding • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques coupled with a focused interest in markets & technologies that are yet to be developed • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to independently lead projects and initiatives • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
