Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers, and leading a team of dedicated associates. Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in supervising daily store activities, including sales, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-energy, customer-focused culture.
  • Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong team.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) operations, and cashiering to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate purchasing, pricing strategies, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to optimize product availability and presentation.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost sales and store visibility.
  • Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, sales reports, and other administrative tasks with precision.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, store policies, and legal regulations while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and staff alike.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, budgeting, sales management, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and wireless sales is preferred.
  • Ability to handle negotiations with vendors or suppliers confidently.
  • Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and stock management.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across shift management duties while maintaining high customer service standards.
