Job Overview

Duties

  • Assist the restaurant manager in overseeing daily operations, including shift management and staff scheduling
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of servers, cooks, and support staff to deliver top-tier customer service
  • Ensure food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet quality standards while adhering to food safety regulations
  • Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
  • Supervise food production processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in food handling and kitchen management
  • Conduct staff training sessions on food safety, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
  • Support budgeting efforts by monitoring labor costs, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource allocation
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Assist with hiring interviews, onboarding new team members, and ongoing staff development initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food environments
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and cash handling
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management and training & development
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to manage inventory control efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning within the food industry
  • Hospitality management background with casual dining or fine dining experience preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
  • Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in interviewing potential candidates
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
