Myles Davis Protective Services – Breaker Positions (Montgomery County, MD)

Myles Davis Protective Services is seeking experienced Part-Time Armed Protective Services Officers (“Breakers”) to provide professional coverage across multiple client sites. Breaker officers travel site-to-site to relieve on-duty officers for scheduled 30-minute breaks while maintaining safety and security standards.

These roles are ideal for dependable, mobile officers who are comfortable driving between locations and maintaining consistent professionalism across various environments.


Position Details

  • Location: Montgomery County, MD
  • Schedule: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Status: Part-Time
  • Availability: MUST be available on weekends
  • Commitment: Must be able to consistently cover Montgomery County-area locations
  • Compensation: $25.00/hour (using personal vehicle)


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel between assigned sites to provide 30-minute break relief coverage
  • Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence
  • Observe and report all incidents or irregularities
  • Conduct brief patrols and maintain post integrity while assigned
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or suspicious activity
  • Complete accurate documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow officers


Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • At least 2 years of armed security or protective services experience
  • Must commit to working in the designated county/area listed
  • Valid Maryland Guard Card
  • Valid Maryland Handgun Permit (Wear & Carry Permit)
  • Reliable transportation (required if opting for personal vehicle pay rate)
  • Strong time management and reliability
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and transition quickly between sites
