Terms of Employment:
10 Month Employee - temporary for the school year

Reports to: Building Principal

Salary: Current paraprofessional salary schedule - see attached

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be Highly Qualified - An associate degree (60 college credits) or passed the ParaPro assessment test and high school transcripts (GED) to obtain paraprofessional certification
  • Strong content knowledge of elementary education
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide coverage as needed.
  • Assists with planning and implementing instructional and intervention strategies for elementary students in reading and or math.
  • Uses developmentally appropriate strategies, materials, and technologies, as directed, to accomplish instructional objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains rapport with learners.
  • Uses effective strategies for the management of behavior.
  • Follows written plans, seeking clarification as needed.
  • Collects and provides objective, accurate data and information to professionals, as appropriate.
  • Maintains updated records and clerical responsibilities as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
